I lived in Minsk for a couple of months in 2014 and was trained as an actress at the Republican Theatre of Belarusian Drama. I came back in 2017, with my backpack on my shoulders, a map, no specific destination, just a camera to hold, and the desire to capture Minsk and its feeling of a certain in-between a past and a future, an old generation and a young one, East and West, its atmosphere heavy and light. Along the way, I met with artists and came back in September 2017 to interview and photograph them. In a dictatorship, there are still ways to create and embrace life and people. Here is a preview of my work.
